The company have a new luxurious wide-beam canal boat now available for hire. We are a small family business, providing outstanding service with a personal touch.

The Kennet and Avon canal links Bristol floating harbour to the Thames at Reading. You will be able to enjoy the café, shop, bar and restaurant atmosphere of Bristol Harbour and also the well-known World Heritage Site of Bath; contrasting with spectacular scenery, rolling landscapes and areas of outstanding natural beauty, along with tearooms, cafes and village pubs.

Grand Cru has a fully fitted kitchen, with a full size cooker and fridge/freezer. The boat has gas central heating and a large 10 kw wood-burning stove, surrounded by a real brick fireplace, ideal for romantic, cosy winter weekends. The boat has a 240-volt electrical system, TV with digital freeview, DVD/CD player with a MP3 port and a cinema surround sound system. It is also fitted with a new,powerful, ultra quiet 50 hp Beta Marine engine.

Everything is included in the price: all fuels, bed linen and towels, a selection of maps, guide books, games, waterproofs and umbrellas, a range of safety equipment and automatic life jackets. Pets are welcome at no extra charge. Our welcome pack includes: tea, coffee, eggs, bacon, milk and even beer and wine ready chilled for your arrival.

Comprehensive training regarding safety and boat handling is always provided. If you are really keen, you can sign up for the R.Y.A. Inland Waterways Helmsmen Certificate.
